TPM 3 – Ljubljana

On the 18th and 19th of July, the partners of the HIATUS project gathered for the eagerly anticipated third transnational project meeting.

Throughout the two-day meeting, an atmosphere of excitement and purposeful collaboration pervaded the gathering. The partners, representing various educational institutions, research organizations, and stakeholders, collectively reviewed and celebrated the progress made in the project since its starting.

With animated discussions and engaging presentations, the partners delved into the heart of the matter, sharing their experiences of implementing various activities under the umbrella of the HIATUS project. Each partner’s unique perspective provided valuable insights into the challenges and successes encountered while working towards the project’s ambitious goals.

The meeting served as an opportune occasion to reflect on the remarkable achievements realized so far. Partners shared their pride in the development of novel teaching methodologies that effectively integrate design principles and service-oriented thinking into the core curriculum.

One of the most significant highlights of the meeting was the realization of tangible products and services that emerged as a result of the project work. These solutions not only demonstrated the practicality of the project’s objectives but also showcased the potential to positively impact the labor market and local territories.

Beyond discussing achievements, the partners also engaged in thought-provoking dialogues about the future trajectory of the project. The meeting served as a springboard for formulating well-defined next steps that would enable the HIATUS project initiative to gain even more substantial traction.

Recognizing the importance of sustainability and scalability, the partners devised strategies for the project’s wider dissemination and adoption within educational institutions. Emphasizing the need for ongoing research and development, they reaffirmed their commitment to continuously fine-tuning the teaching methodologies to keep pace with evolving market demands.

The third transnational meeting had accomplished much more than just a mere progress review; it had strengthened the bonds among the partners and deepened their resolve to shape a brighter future for education and, by extension, society at large.

2nd LTTA Online

Recap: Successful Completion of the 2nd LTTA – Co-designing Educational Path Based on School Contexts

We are delighted to share the successful completion of the 2nd LTTA (Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity) titled “Co-design of educational path according to the school addresses.” This LTTA aimed to collaborate with teachers in co-designing the STD (Service Design Thinking) educational path, considering the specific needs and context of their vocational schools as well as the cultural differences between countries. Let’s delve into the highlights of this productive training activity:

The primary objective of the training was to address the 3rd and 4th phases of the STD methodology. Through collaboration among partners and teachers, we worked towards experimenting with the model that was already defined during the 1st LTTA.

Ultimately, the goal of this LTTA was to co-design the methodology by focusing on specific elements that would enable contextualization of the model across different countries and cultures. By taking into account the diverse educational landscapes and unique requirements of each vocational school, we strived to tailor the STD educational path to suit their specific contexts.

The successful completion of the 2nd LTTA marks another significant milestone in our collective efforts. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the partners and teachers who actively participated in this co-design process. Together, we are paving the way for a contextualized and impactful educational experience.

Stay tuned for further updates as we continue to progress in our journey of collaborative innovation.

1st LTTA in Skopje

Recap: Successful Completion of the First LTTA – Training on Service Design Thinking

We are thrilled to share that the first LTTA (Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity) has concluded on a high note. This joint training activity, titled “Training on Service Design Thinking,” spanned three days and encompassed several key objectives.

Let’s take a look at the highlights of this fruitful event:

The primary goals of the first LTTA were to define the teaching model based on Service Design Thinking and establish the minimum common criteria necessary for the adaptation of the didactic model across the different countries within the partnership. Collaborative training activities were conducted between the partnership and teachers to prepare for the second LTTA.

The event culminated in a briefing session among the partnership members. This session aimed to discuss the emerging elements that would be instrumental in the micro-design of PR2 – E-learning Course of the Hiatus Service Design Thinking Model. We reviewed any additions made to the collection materials and shared the agreed-upon monitoring and support modalities between the first and second LTTAs, as defined by the partnership and the teachers. Additionally, the partnership solidified the modalities for updating and outlined a first draft of the micro-design for the upcoming second LTTA.

The successful completion of the first LTTA marks a significant step forward in our collaborative journey. We extend our appreciation to all the partners and teachers who actively participated in this enriching training activity.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to advance our objectives and prepare for the subsequent LTTAs.

Visiting Zaragoza to start the HIATUS project!

Visiting Zaragoza to start the HIATUS project!

The European Erasmus+ HIATUS project, whose main objective is to develop an innovative teaching methodology, begins its development in Zaragoza, Spain. The University of Zaragoza, a partner in the project, has welcomed the rest of the partners (Per Formare, EKN, STEP, FACE, ADI, OIMEM and Inercia Digital) on March 23 and 24 to celebrate the start of the project.

During these days, the partners have discussed and reviewed different aspects and results of the project, working collaboratively and cooperatively, to ensure the achievement of the main objective of the project: to develop a teaching methodology within the school context that uses design skills for the development of products or services according to the demand of the labor market, applying an innovative methodology called “Service Design Thinking”.

Among other things, during the meeting it was decided what will be the final logo that will represent the project, and we are very happy with the result. Don’t you love it?

Despite the fact that the project has just started, all the partners are very excited and happy to be able to carry out and develop a project of this magnitude.
